What Can Cause Burning Sensation On The Foot Upon Sitting For A Long Period?
i have MS and sit for long periods of time at work, today I notice that the top of my left foot would get a rush of heat then go away. I happened several times, so I started timing it at first it happen every couple of hours and now it happens 4-5 times within the last 2 hours, No pain, just heat.
It is due to prolonged weight bearing which slightly compromise the blood supply and causes pain. As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
