What Can Cause Cold Sweats, Hot Flashes, Fever And Abdominal Pain After Unprotected Intercourse?

Hi, I’m 20 years old and I have just recently become sexually active, I had unprotected sex with 2 males males within this week whom I’m sure one of them might have chlamydia because I was I didn’t have an STI or any symptoms before then. My symptoms are flu-like; cold sweats, hot flashes, fever, abdominal pain, burning when urinating, and swelling of my vaginal wall, also I found one small whitish pink bump on the opening of my vaginal wall in which is painful to touch. I think I have chlamydia but I’m not sure. I’m going to get tested tomorrow, what do you think it is?

Hi,

Burning urination and swelling of vaginal wall with tender to touch. White patches could be candidal vulvo vaginits with urinary tract infection (UTI). It is simple problem but due to unprotected sex will get other problems like sexual transmitted diseases, STD. First exclude the all STDs by doing following investigations like: VDRL test for Syphilis, HIV 1 and 2 for AIDS, HCV, Hepatitis B. Chlmydial infections by grams stain KOH test for candidal filaments. Complete urine examination.

Here your present problem according to your complaint could be the above diagnosis. So as follow this treatment. Tablet Azithromycin 2 times daily for 7 days, plenty of oral fluids. Tablet Fluconazole stat followed by 150 mfg weekly once for 3 weeks. Tablet Aceclofenac with Paracetamol till swelling and pain subsides. It will clear the present problem. But screening is very important to avoid further coming problems.
