What Can Cause Diarrhea Along With Stomach Ache, Appetite Loss, Fatigue And Chills?
I am a 42 year old woman. I had diarrhea for more than two weeks ( 7-10 times a day). I still go about 4 times right now, still loose. Stomach pains at times, decreased appetite, and extremely tired. A bit shaky lately. I lost 5 lbs in between doctors visits. I am currently working from home. I cannot be pregnant. I do not eat gluten or dairy, have an intolerance to both.

Hello,
You have sub-acute diarrhea (more than two weeks). It is usually caused by infections or inflammatory conditions. Without stool examination, it is impossible to differentiate the two conditions. Your stool should be investigated for white blood cells and red blood cells. If both are positive then you should get stool culture. Stool culture shows what infectious organism is causing the disease. If the result comes back negative you should have a colonoscopy for inflammatory conditions (Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis). If the stool test is negative for white blood cells and red blood cells it is likely parasitic infection is causing diarrhea. Please, contact your doctor for a stool test.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
