What Can Cause Dizziness And Blurred Vision While Suffering From High BP?
I am a 63 year old male with a history of high blood pressure for which I take medication. I have had dizziness to the point of losing my balance for a couple of days now. And I have blurred vision that started an hour ago. My pulse is 100 and I am sitting in my chair at work. I feel fine other than the dizziness and blurred vision. What might I be experiencing and is it serious enough to go get checked?
Anti-hypertensive medicine and its doses need to be taken into consideration the might be causing the hypotension due to a higher dose or it might not be hypertension.
Besides this the symptoms of dizziness, blurred vision could be due to hypoglycemia, and third, it can be due to TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
It is happening due to less blood supply in the brain and to rule all of these certain tests are there that are advisable like routine clinical examination with routine blood work up and CT brain, last but not least, the symptoms can be due to functional disorders.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Akhtarhusain,
