What Can Cause Ear Blockage And Difficulty In Hearing?

I have difficulty in hearing as if something is blocked in my ears... if I use my fingers to enlarge the hole in my ears it seems my hearing is improved.... I plan to have a wax removal procedure.. previously I was diagnosed with otitis media and said that part of my eardrums has perforations...

Hi,

You may be suffering from a middle ear infection with ASOM. If there is a hole in eardrum then fewer chances of feeling pressure in the ear because whatever pus or collection may drain through the external auditory canal.

Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Avoid entering of water into the ear canal.

Use Otrivin nasal spray. Use tablet Amoxiclav.

If symptoms not improved please consult your ENT specialist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
