What Can Cause Frequent Headaches, Back Pain And Fibromyalgia?

I have pain. I have frequent headaches, back pain, fibromyalgia,etc.. Yesterday I began to feel bad with these types of pain. I can usually take a muscle relaxer, norco pain med and feel better. Yesterday and today it is different, the pain keeps coming back within a couple of hours. It is very unusual for the pain meds to not work. I keep goimg back to bed with pain med, ice pack, tens unit. I am somewhat concerned.Thank yoy

Hi,

If the pain as you seem to indicate is widespread affecting back, head muscles etc then I do not feel you have something to panic it is not an indication of something serious. One possibility would be your fibromyalgia flaring up, medication not always completely controls the symptoms.

Another possibility would be that of a transitory viral infection which may cause such head, joint and muscle pain. So for the moment I would simply add an over the counter pain medications like Ibuprofen and wait for a few more days, only if symptoms persist would contact primary doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
