Hi my name is Cami and I have a question about my daughter. She is a new born. She has Brownish Gray eyes. They look brown in the shade but in the sunlight there grayish color. She is a Native American Her dad is Native American/White, He had light brown eyes. And his father has green eyes.Im full Native American and I have dark brown eyes. I was just wondering how she could have grayish brown eyes.Very curious please get back to me ASAP

It takes about a year for the eyes to finish changing color. There are cells in the eyes that make the pigment that is responsible for eye color. When these cells make only a little pigment, baby's eyes will be blue; more pigment and eyes will be green or hazel; most pigment and eyes will be brown.
