What Can Cause Green Colored Bowel Movement And Abdominal Distress?
approximately 3 weeks ago I noticed a drastic change in my bowl movements. My stool has been a very dark greenish color and has been present every morning. I have also notices some churning in my intestines and some slight discomfort in my back on the lower left side. I have been extremely fatigued. any thoughts? Should I see a doctor?
Green color stools may be intake of foods that contain green color food additives or taking of green leafy vegetables or it may be due to infection or irritable bowel syndrome or inflammatory bowel problems or malabsorption syndrome etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Take soft diet , avoid spicy food and alcohol. Avoid smoking. avoid gluten contain food.If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
