Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My boyfriend is mostly a raw foodist. he started to eat regular (cooked) Vegetarian food the past couple of months once in a while. I have made LOTS of kale chips the other day and we ate them all. His poop for two days has been abnormally green (bright green). He is convinced he should not eat cooked food anymore. I think it is simply because he ate too much kale. His main diet before was mostly fruits and not much leafy greens? Should we be concerned if the green poop persists?
Nothing to worry eating of green leafy vegetables may cause dark green color stools. Other possibilities like food coloring agents in food, irritable bowel syndrome or gallbladder, and liver problems.
