What Can Cause Nose Bleeds?

hi I am inquiring for my mother in law. She 66 yrs old and today all of a sudden when she blew her nose she started bleeding a lot. not drippin but a lot. also twice a gush of blood came out. total episode of bleeding contantly lasted for 30 minutes. What are the causes of this. she doesn t ever have nosebleeds

Fast blowing may cause injury to the mucosa layer or veins lead to epistaxis. Other possibilities like hypertension or thrombocytopenia or infection may also cause this problem. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use pressure for few seconds if blood not stopped repeat it once again. If not control please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and do nasal package and treat you accordingly.
