What Can Cause Numbness In The Right Hand?

my right hand is numb to touch things and sometimes i drop things cause i cant feel that im holding things and also it stings alot at times that i just want to cut off my hand im right handed so its hard for me to write type or do other stuff what do u think that could cause this
