Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Can Cause Pain Around The Flanks And Pelvic Area While Sitting?
I have pain in my flanks and alot in my pelvic/groin region especially when sitting or leaning up when I m laying down. I went to the ER a few days ago cause it was hurting bad and they took my blood and tested my urine...ER told me I had no kidney infection and my urine was clean. It happened 2 weeks ago out of nowhere and its hurt ever since. Like where my V is where my leg and Levi s meet. It burns like a pulled muscle but it s not getting better. When I lay down to sleep in certain positions, it doesnt hurt but its effecting my mobility and comfortability...
It will help if I know your age. But it may be due to the joints and osteoporosis. If you don't have enough dairy product intake please have some calcium supplements daily and try to avoid the positions in which pain increases for a few weeks. It will improve over time but if not visit an orthopedic specialist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammad Mostafa Ansari Ramandi,
Cardiologist
