What Can Cause Painless Swelling In The Testicles?

My husband just told me their is a problem with his testicles. I asked him to show me. The left is as big as a baseball & hard. The right is slightly enlarged. He does not have any pain, but he can make it hurt if he squeezes. He is 79 years old & otherwise in good health.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The only possibility is the hydrocele and that needs to be ruled out.
Clinical examination is the option and without this nothing can be said for sure.
It can be an inflammatory condition of scrotum called orchitis, it can be an infection, it can be cystic disease, or it can be something nonspecific and not related to any disease all depend upon the clinical examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
