What Can Cause Post Natal Pains?

Hi, I am 6 weeks post partum, and I am experiencing a dull, aching pain down the back of both legs. The pain reminds me of my contractions (which I actually felt down the front of my thighs during labour). Could this be a sign of my menstrual cycle returning, or maybe just a symptom of too much walking around to soon?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Several things can be at play to account for your pains. Firstly, mineral and vitamin imbalances should be considered. Secondly, excess strain should be excluded. Thirdly, an impending period is a possibility and finally, the status of the circulation in the limbs should be tested and if necessary, medication added to improve circulation. Simple exercises, hot fomentation, elevation of foot end while resting and analgesics can help. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
