What Can Cause Severe Headaches Along With Restlessness?

I have a severe headache, I am restless and jumpy. This also happened to me last night at the same time. I could not settle into sit down or sleep until hours later at 3 am. I cannot correlate this with any food or action. Have you any idea of a cause?

Hello,

You have provided very little information to go on so I'm afraid of giving you a 100% on target cause to your headaches is impossible.

However, if you are not ACCUSTOMED to having such headaches that are so painful or distracting that they keep you up and cause you to be so fidgety and jumpy then, I would recommend being seen by either a neurologist or headache specialist to investigate what could be triggering these.

A full history will be elicited to rule out things such as stress, migraine predisposition, architectural abnormalities of the brain or ventricular system, side-effects of medication, and metabolic or endocrinological defects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dariush Saghafi, Neurologist
