What Can Cause Severe Pain And Pressure Under The Toenail?
I m having severe pain under my great toenail. No ingrown nail. I recently had what appeared to be a black fungus under the nail covering about half the nail. I treated it and now the nail appears normal in color. The nail is now lifted where the discoloration was. The pain is severe with slight pressure.
It seems that probably there may be infection in subungual part. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.
Antibiotic and anti-inflammatory drugs may be taken after visiting the doctor. Take rest and keep the foot elevated while rest.

Ingrowing toenail can be treated either medically with antibiotics or surgically by nail avulsion, according to the severity of the ingrowing toe nail. You could take an over the counter pain killer tablet, for symptomatic management of pain. I request you to consult your dermatologist for identifying the grade of ingrowing toe nail and for treating according to the grade of the ingrowing toe nail.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
