What Can Cause Severe Vomiting Along With Migraines?
I have been sick for the past week. On Tuesday I was vomiting all day. I have been very nauseous this entire week. On Wednesday I went to the doctor and they told me that I had strep throat. I have been taking the antibiotics they gave me but I still feel nauseous. My throat no longer hurts but today I am vomiting again and have a terrible migraine. What could it be?
Strep throat can as it is make swallowing food a pain, which would lead to building up of acid in the stomach causing nausea and vomiting and lack of food and fluids would lead to headaches.
Since you are treated from the strep throat now, usually along with antibiotics, antacids are also prescribed which helps with acidity due to the strong antibiotics also.
Try keeping yourself hydrated, follow a simple non-spicy and non-oily diet, plenty of fluids (water) and fruits, and take an antacid (available over the counter) for a few days before food and an NSAID should help your migraine.
If you find no relief and extremely dehydrated, my advise to you would be to visit a nearby physician to relieve you from dehydration.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
