Hello,
Thank you for your query.
This sequence of events usually occur before a
fever develops.
-Did you check his temperature at that time?
-does he have any other signs of infection or any other symptoms?
-any medical problems? Is he on any medications?
Sometimes
stress during the day can cause a transient increase in
heart rate.
If symptoms persists or recurs, please consult his physician for an electrocardiogram.
Holter monitoring for 24 hrs may be required to catch the heart during such episodes to find out the rhythm abnormality.
He may also need some tests to check for any chemical abnormalities in his blood that could be triggering these episodes
If it doesn't recur, then don't worry about it. Fever can elevate heart rate as well. Next time
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you both good health.
