What Can Cause Spotting Along With Clots?

I missed my last period so I haven t had one since the first week of February. I took a pregnancy test in the middle of this month and it was negative. This morning I noticed spotting so I just thought it was my period, now in the last 2 hours I am having clots pass through... But no actual flow. What could this be?
