What Can Cause Sudden Dizziness And Sensitivity To Light And Sound?

I am a healthy, I thought so.... 54 yr old female, 5 6 163lbs. On Sunday I had a spell I was visiting a friend and got up from sitting for about an hour, hot, calmly, walked to the bathroom about 50 ft away got dizzy, and as I walked back to sit my eyes seemed sensitive to the light, and ears to sound, no headache. If I moved I felt dizzy again so I drank water and laid down, slept off and on for 4 hours. They drove me home but the daylight bothered my eyes, even closed so I covered them and it seemed okay. But then on Monday at work I got up too fast I got dizzy and went down to a sitting position. My co-workers took my BP, pulse and temp.... all was normal. Any ideas what this would be or tests I should go have my doctor run?

Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Without an exam, I can only give general information. Obviously, a neurologic condition will produce neurological results.

It can be an inner ear for dizziness and sensitivity to sound. Migraines may do a lot of things. Medications (especially drugs of abuse or withdrawal from them WILL do this such as alcohol or sedatives).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
