Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
About 10 days ago my left bicep started to burn. It seems to be movement related. The walk in clinic said it could be shingles or a nerve in my back. It worsened. Went to the ER. They eliminated stroke, heart attack and blood clot. Said it might be a nerve impingement. I have been to a chiropractor who believes it is that. Also to an acupuncturist. Some times it calms down. But a certain movement will send a shooting burning pain into my left bicep. Quite often this is an 8 on 1 to 10 scale. Then it calms down. Any ideas?

What Can Cause Sudden Pain In The Bicep?
Hi, It might be an episode of musculoskeletal pain. As the first line of management, you can take analgesics like Acetaminophen or Diclofenac. If symptoms persist, better to consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
