Hi. Thanks for your query. Itchy and scaly scrotal skin has a few causes. There are dandruff like flakes - for a week - tried Vaseline jelly, but not working- wants advise for right cure. The causes can be: Dermatitis of any nature. This can occur as part of the any sort of the dermatitis. The scrotal skin is different from any of the skin of the body. It behaves completely different to any challenges. Scaly dandruff like thing indicates that it has become dried and the natural sweat and other glands are not working. First of all stop using anything else. Just clean the scrotum with plain water, apply liquid povidone iodine once to kill all the bacteria which can grow very easily due to present problem. Give it a time to heal on its own. Take therapeutic dose of Vitamin A and D. Within a week this all will be OK. On the safer side get one opinion of a Dermatologist.
