What Can Cause The Stomach To Become Hard And Distented?

My son is 30 years old. He is 5' 11" and weighs about 230lbs. His stomach is huge and hard as a rock to touch. It doesn't seem normal to me. Any ideas why it's like this? He isn't on any medications and is in good health except for this huge stomach.

Dentist 's  Response
Hi,

It can be due to various reasons like stones in the gallbladder, jaundice and inflammatory bowel disease.

Tell me more about him any history of pain, drugs, ulcer, hepatitis.

It is better if you can take him to the emergency room as this case needs clinical examination first followed by investigations and accordingly, treatment can be initiated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
