What Can Cause Tinnitus And Headache After A TIPS Surgery?
I had tips surgery in march of 2018. I have been watching my diet. Low sodium. I have become bloated in both legs and am retaining fluid. Im on spironolactone 25mg twice daily. losartan 50 mg daily. furosemide 20mg twice daily.tamsulosin 0.4 mg daily. sulfamethoxazole- tmp ds daily. folic acid 1mg daily. vitamin b complex daily. ferrous sulfate 325mg three times daily for anemia. lactulose 6tbs three times daily. I have ringing in my ears and a constant dull headache. Amonia level is within limits.I went from 190lbs to 212 lbs. help!

Tinnitus may be due to side effects to diuretics medication or it may be side effects to hypotension or electrolyte imbalance or it may be due to BPPV or vestibular neurinitis etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet meclizine 25 mg twice a day for five days. If you gain weight means then there may be fluid retention.please consult your gastroentrologist/ ENT specialist they will examine and treat you accordingly.

If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
