What Can Cause Urinary Retention And Penile Discharge After Unprotected Intercourse?
Good day, I am Jeremiah from Abeokuta. Please, I actually had an unprotected sex some weeks back, and after some days, I started noticing a difficulty in urination plus a discharge from the penis (the discharge is a leak of a sort cloudy yellow liquid). I complained about the difficulty in urination, thinking it was the reason behind the discharge at the health center, a urinalysis was conducted and I was given a particular drug (Ciprobon 500mg). Though, I didn t tell the doctor about the discharge. After the first day of medication, the discharge stopped. But two days later, the leak started again and I m still at it. Please, What could this signify and what s the way out? and also, what s the effect of this on my sexual life?

Since you had unprotected sex, need to rule our sexually transmitted infection STD.
1. Gonorrhea and chlamydia are two of the most common causes of penile discharge these are sexually transmitted diseases, starting early antibiotics will help you. Ciprobon also had an effect on Gonorrhea and chlamydia, if it's not working out need to change antibiotics
2. Urinary tract infections can also cause penile discharge
3. Urethritis - damage to the urethra from intercourse or forceful masturbation, irritation or allergy from soap, deodorant, or detergent, injury
4. Prostatitis can also cause discharge
5. Unhygienic habits or improper cleaning of Smegma can cause discharge
6. Balanitis can be due in fungal or bacterial infection, it causes irritation and itching and also discharge.
Identifying the cause and treating early with appropriate drugs will be helpful.
