What Can Cause Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?

I just was having sex with my boyfriend and I start leaking bright red blood over every where I came home use the restroom it sting a little then took an shower n I m still leaking running blood as I ask u the question... I m also on depo and been on it for years

Bleeding during intercourse is not something to be concerned about as it is not uncommon. The cervix is very vascular so if your sex was rough or if you did not have sex for a long period of time, it could cause bleeding. If the bleeding is still continuing and is a moderate amount, then I would make an appointment to see your OB Doctor. It could also possibly be your menstrual cycle as Depo is known to cause infrequent vaginal bleeding. Again, continue to monitor the bleeding and if it does not stop or if you start to have large blood clots, you would need to go to the ER.
