What Can Cause Vaginal Spotting And Abdominal Cramps After Getting A Depo Shot?
hello, I’m a 18 y/o female and I am crazy anxious when I see anything out of line. I have been with my significant other for 3 years and have been 0000% faithful as so he has been (so I’ve been told) . 3 months ago I gotten the depo shot and have had spotting/slight cramping two weeks ago, and now again? Why? Also, I was having white creamy discharge for about 2 days before I started spotting again, I have inflammation and cuts on my vulva as we speak, no pain when urinating, ONLY PAIN WHEN IT HITS MY CUTS. I’ve also noticed my clit is swollen and has little raw spots on the hood and under the hood. Could it be from a yeast infection . PLEASE help. My nerves won’t leave me alone
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The spotting and cramps are common side effects of the drop shots so this shouldn’t worry you.. As for the inflammation and swelling of your vulva then this could be due to a number of causes including yeast infection, bacterial infection or stds. So, I would recommend that you get tested.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
