What Can Experiencing Sharp Pains Under Left Armpit Down To Breast Mean?

Hello, I have been experiencing sharp pains under my left armpit down to my breast. It started about 1 week ago, a few pains occurred under my right armpit down to my right breast, but today, it is strong on my left side. I think it is something to do with my menstrual cycle, or what's left of it (as I am getting older- 45 y.o.). But my roommate thinks it could be more serious. I don't want to go to the dr or hospital and find out it is just my period symptoms, that would be embarrassing and waste of time and money that I don't have. What do you think?

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

it can be due to period, have hot water bag fermentation if not relieved for more than 2 days after over of menses. Also, look for a doctor, if skin is red or if mass felt.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Richa Agarwal, OBGYN
