Hi, the first 3 days of being on my period I get really sharp pains in my lower stomache when I try and have a vowel movement and my stomache feels very sore. I only normally go about once or twice a week anyway which is normal for me but it hurts that much that sometimes cry. I sometimes hold it in until my cycle has finished

Hi...this is not normal...you are constipated...the more you keep it inside the harder it will become as the body keeps on absorbing water from it...and so it will be more difficult for you to evacuate it leading to more pain and eventually you will develop anal fissure... so start a laxative in the night and eat more fibers like oats and bananas...
Now, about the pain during menses...the intensity of pain varies between people as is their sensitivity to pain...take an analgesic during that time...
