HI DOCTOR MY BROTHER GOT OPERATED FOR NASAL POLYPS A YEAR AND HALF BACK NOW HE AGAIN HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS DIFFICULTY IN BREATHING RUNNING NOSE GOT THE SCAN DONE AND GOT TO KNOW THAT THERE SOME PUS FORMATION ON THE RIGHT SIDE THE DOC HAS SUGGESTED TO GO FOR FESS,I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF IT HAS ANY SIDEAFFECTS, AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST IN CHENNAI,AND WHATS THE POST SURGERY CARE,PLS UPDATE ME, THANKU.

Fess is a very common surgery done by the right doctor. Precautions and most important is nasal washes after surgery and regular follow up. Government hospital doesn't charge much but private setups cost more.
