What Casues Pain In Shoulders And Upper Arm?

Hello. I had a TT 09/09. Since then I ve had my synthroid upped to 200, am taking 50,000 of Vit D, 1000 IU magnesium. My Bones hurt & lately I ve begun to have pain in my shoulders & upper arms, but this feels like more muscles. What are the possible causes or am I simply being a baby? There are times when I can t move the pain, weakness & exhaustion are so bad. Thank you for your time. Denyse

Hi Denyse,
No, I don't think you're being a baby. I'm afraid it is difficult to make a precise assessment without seeing you. There are several possible causes of pain affecting both shoulders including inflammatory conditions that often respond well to medication. Is the pain affecting your upper leg area as well?
The weakness and exhaustion also require investigation to exclude systemic causes. I presume your Synthroid was prescribed for an under-active thyroid and I would certainly be getting blood work done to check among other things thyroid function, electrolytes and inflammatory markers.
Good luck,
