What Cause Blood In Stools And Burning Sensation After Bowel Movement?
I have been light headed for a few days now. Small annoying pain below my heart area. Had upper GI done a few months ago and came back clear. About 2 weeks ago after going to the bathroom there was blood in the water, and after I wiped. Then for a few days only when I wiped there was a little blood. It burns a lttle bit after a bowl movement as well. Male 35 years old
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Blood in stool with burning pain on wiping is indicating that there may be peri-anal excoriation or fissure-in-ano and this be secondary to intestinal infection. Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation: Get the stool, blood and urine tests done. Examination by a General surgeon by a per-rectal digital examination and ano-proctoscopy will help to finalize the diagnosis. May need a course of an antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotics . Take a Sitz bath in a tub with warm water. Take stool softeners if the stools are hard and difficult to pass. Avoid stress and anxiety. avoid all the foods and beverages that increase your problems.
