My 5 year old boy has a soft to touch lump on the right side of his neck, right behind his muscle on the right side. Think it has been there for a while possibly been growing. Son complaints that it hurt a bit now when he moves his head to the side. Should this be looked at immediately, I am very worried it could be something very sirious. please advise
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. He may have enlarged lymphnode. It can be due to reactive hyperplasia, tuberculosis or lymphoma. Most commonly it is due to reactive lymphnode. He should go for fine needle aspiration cytology or biopsy of that lump. It will give you exact diagnosis. Then he should take treatment accordingly Hope I have answered your question, if you have any doubts then contact me at bit.ly/Drsanghvihardik, I will be happy to answer you.
