What Cause My Voice Go Bad In The Mornings?

Everyday when I wake up, my voice is a little bit bad, so i sing for a while, and it clears up and gets good. That s usually within an hour. After, I hit my peak point, where I sing absolutely amazing. I can only sing about 3-10 minutes each day like this, where my vibrato is perfect, my voice is smooth, and I can go really high and low with my bridges connected. After that time frame, my vibrato is good, my singing is good, but it s not as amazing. I feel my voice getting a little scratchy, and my vibrato is not as reliable and perfect. So during the peak point, my voice feels like it can move fast between notes, almost feels like my voice is thin and and agile. I just want to be able to sing like that all the time. It feels like the more I sing, (if we practice at choir for 1-3hrs, I immediately lose range and voice isn t smooth). I sing maybe a few hours some days, some days not that much, but I don t know how to help my voice. I don t drink cold etc. I m thinking I need to train my voice somehow. Let me know if you have any tips. Thanks a lot!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to pharyngitis or post nasal drip. You can go for warm saline gargles for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist you can consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
