my 4 year old daughter has two round bruises on her lower spine? She has had them a long time and they fade down then go darker in color like tonight. She is active and does attend daycare, so I know she could be bumping it, but it always seems like it is there and never goes away?

Hi,
what you are probably describing is a mangolian spot . it is birth mark, perfectly benign. your daughter has it near the lower spine, which is the most common location . its is usually mistaken for a bruise. dont worry, as it usually disappears by 5 years and almost always by puberty
