What Cause Stiff Neck, Metallic Taste And Tickling Feeling In Throat?

I have had a stiff neck for a week. I had a laryngitis sound 2 weeks ago. Now I have a tickle in my throat, I keep swallowing and a metallic bad taste in my mouth for the last 2 days. My son just had a severe croup infection. Not sure if I have it but my throat is bothering me.

Hello.
Thanks for asking to Hcm
There can be severe throat infection which is causing the problem. Chances of croup is less in adults. You need to take broad spectrum antibiotics like amoxicillin with clavulinic acid.
In addition anti inflammatory medicines also. Betadine gargles are also helpful. With antibiotic take multivitamin also.
These medicines would be used and in addition if there is hospital near by then get done a throat swab to know the offending organism and the best antibiotic against it.
