Up until yesterday I had had a patch of yellow skin on my thigh about 4in directly above my knee. It covered about the area of 1 and 1/2 US half dollars. It was there for about about a week with no change and now it s gone. As a 20 year old male should I be concerned?
Yellowish asymptomatic patch on the thigh might suggest the possibility of necrobiosis lipoidica. You must get yourself investigated for diabetes mellitus as people with diabetes are predisposed to it.Topical mild steroid cream like mometasone can be applied over the affected area along with emolients containing liquid paraffin. However you must consult your dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis .Regards .
