Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
It can be a ligament injury. Ligaments are needed to stabilize knee joint. When knee ligaments are torn then patient can not walk fast and there is instability and buckling of knee joint.
I would suggest you to walk and run. If you feel there is instability of the knee joint then you can get a orthopaedic examination. If there is any sign suggestive of knee ligament injury then I would recommend you to get MRI of the knee joint. This will confirm the diagnosis.
If on MRI there is ligament injury then it will require a ligament reconstruction procedure. Do not delay this thing as then there is chances that there can be further injury to knee joint.

Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Dr. Sudhir Kumar 's  Response
Hi,Welcome to healthcare magic. After going through your query in my opinion it is due to laxity of medial collateral ligament.Whether you got injury of your knee. For further investigation. x ray and MRI of knee joint is required . Sometimes vitamin D deficiency can cause this so serum vitamin D test is advised if it is low than vitamin D supplementation will be required.I think your query answered.Welcome to any follow up query
