I started the nexplanon birth control on the 4th (exactly two weeks ago from today) and it s supposed to take in effect a week after getting implanted or immediately if you get it implanted within 3-5 days of the start of your menstrual cycle which was what I did. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend six nights ago and over the last few days I ve had slight cramping, some nausea but not bad enough where I ve thrown up from it and today I ve had dark brown spotting. Do you think the nexplanon didn t take in effect yet and I could be pregnant? Or is brown spotting normal? I m new to birth control and the doctor told me it should only take a few days to start working but I m still a little nervous that I could be pregnant because of these signs
