What Caused Pain And Numbness In Leg And Foot?

My mother is elderly (69) and awoke last night to pain and numbness in her lower leg and foot..numbness so much so she felt as if she were dragging her foot she said. What could be causing this...there is some swelling in her foot still and still some numbness and tingling in her leg as well.

Hi thanks for contacting HCM,

As u mentioned that swelling in her left foot, so please check blood pressure and random blood sugar for diabetes. Due to thrombosis in leg veins, obstruction of leg arteries can also caused numbness and leg pain so contact surgeon for investigation.
