What Caused Pain In My Hands With Nausea And Dizziness While Skiing?
My hands got very cold when I was lacing my ski boots. temps were below zero. I got my gloves on but had extreme pain in my hands as they rewarmed. As I started skiing I had extreme nausea and got dizzy. I skied back to the car and felt badly for the next hour..pale and nausea. What happenned.
Thankyou for the Question Brief..It can be frostbite (cold injury) Detail..toes, fingers, hands and nose are at greatest risk ,they loose heat more rapidly since they have higher surface area to volume ratio. affected skin area gets red, swollen, and painfull and pain can cause nausea and so on. If it ever happens move to the warm area, place some gauze between fingers and toes to absorb moisture and prevent them from sticking togethery Do not rub that area or apply dry heat seek medical attention promptly; Regards, Dr.Maheshwari
