Good evening mam. The kind of pain you are describing is classically seen with pancreatitis. It is condition which causes inflammation of the pancreas organ. It can affect her appetite and it can cause severe pain in the tummy which radiates to the back. Pancreatitis can be seen in lupus due to the disease itself or if she is on medications like Azathioprine or high dose steroids. Do consult your doctor at the earliest. Kindly get Ultrasound abdomen, serum amylase lipase done, but dont ignore. Hope the information was useful.
