General & Family Physician, Dr. Samarth 's Response
MRSA infection is a serious condition. This infection will require admission to a hospital and intravenous antibiotics in form of injection Vancomycin or Linezolid with a Gram negative coverage. Swollen tonsils suggest severe Upper Airway infection. Get your child admitted. Oral drugs wont respond to MRSA. Cold sweats means fever defervescence. It does not signify any serious issue.
