What Causes A Blue Colored Bump On Lower Lip?

Hi, I'm 25 years old female with 52 kilograms for my weight and 156cm for my height. This is my problem, doc. Hopefully you can help me. I made out with my boyfriend 2 days ago and I found a tiny, dark blue colored in my lower lip yesterday. There's no pain or any kind of. But it's still there now and I'm little worried about it. Because it's the first time I have it. Is it just hematoma or maybe a sign of diseases? How do I know for sure?
Thanks.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain a blue coloured lump on the lower lip can be a Hematoma formed due to a traumatic injury or it can be a mucous cyst known as Mucocele formed due to traumatic injury to the minor salivary gland leading to accumulation of mucous into soft tissues..

Both the conditions are harmless, therefore you need not to worry..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can be diagnostic..
Both these conditions are self limiting and can resolve on its own in a few days..
But in case if there is no resolution surgical removal has to be done..
But as of now you should wait and watch for 2 weeks and in case of no improvement consult an Oral Physician..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
