Hi - I have a brown oval mark that has appeared on my little toe it s 10mm by 6mm and has a circle within it at one end. It s quite dark brown and looks scaly. I think I may have had a blister from uncomfortable shoes and this is what s left but it does seem to have just appeared?? Emma
Hi. As per your case history you are having friction blister on toe. My treatment advice is - 1. Wear loose footwear to avoid further friction and relapse of condition. 2. Prick the blister with the sterile needle and drain the fluid with disposable syringe. 3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 4. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling. You can also take an oral antibiotic like levofloxacin for faster results, but only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
