What Causes A Bump In The Lower Lip Along With Constant Headaches?

Hi. I have a bump inside my lower lip and a constant headache. When I first noticed the bump, it also caused bruising on my face. The bump has now reduced in size and the bruising has gone away. I smoke and drink daily. Also, a tooth near the bump has been cracked for years now, but do not know if that could have something to do with it.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may have developed mucocele due to repeated trauma while eating food by broken tooth. So the edges of the tooth may be bluted until won't cause trauma. Headache and may be wont related to bump. Please check it may be a sinus headache or migranous headache. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet Tramadol and Paracetamol twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly. Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
