What Causes A Burning Sensation In Wrist?

Hi there I have had a burning sensation in my wrist which is usually relieved using an ice pack. And my toes keep tingling as well mainly the two small ones. This has been happening for 6 days. I eat a diet full of vegetables, lean proteins, eggs, fruits, nuts, coconut oil, avocados etc. I do lift weights 5 times per week and am female 34 years old.

Hello,

Burning sensation in the wrist is usually due to inflammation of the wrist joint, compression of the median nerve or swelling inside the wrist due to repeated movements that over-extend the wrist, using some heavy hand tools that may result in carpal tunnel syndrome.

Some other factors that can cause carpal tunnel syndrome are smoking, high salt intake & sedentary lifestyle. Since you are having tingling sensation in your toes, you are suggested to get nerve conduction tests done & get physically examined, get evaluated & treated.

In the meantime you can take vitamin B6, B12 supplements & folic acid with minerals (magnesium, zinc).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
