Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have what looks to be a cyst that seems to be attached to my anus just under the skin on the backside of my bottom~ I went to the local doctor and he looked~Says it's not a hemi nor any cancer he has seen in 37yrs~ No pain, but after exam, a couple days later, it is inflamed and protruding just above my anus~there isn't a boil or a head~ I have hard fatty deposits on other areas of my body, mostly rib cage~ could one actually attach to my anus muscle?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Inflamed cyst like mass on the anal verge is definitely an inflammatory lesion; it can be a prolapsed thrombosed pile or can be a small developing abscess although it was painless in the beginning. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Consult a General Surgeon for proper examination as he can diagnose such thing better. You can also go for MRI of the area for perfect diagnosis if needed. Fatty masses on the ribs are not connected on such things. Once diagnosed et a course of an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medications and whatever is needed and prescribed.
