What Causes A Dark Bruise On Skin After A Spider Bite?
I saw a doctor for a bite and we believe it was a spider due to the 2 small punctures. Now it is a very dark bruise 4 inches long with a yellowing at the bite mark. Do I need to be re checked or wait since I am finishing up (today) 5 days of a sulfur based antibiotic and steroids?

Hi.
As per your case history of insect bite my advice is -
1. No need for further treatment if it is not bothering you.
2. Continue applying sulfur based antibiotic cream for 7-10 days.
3. Wear full sleeve clothes to prevent further such episodes.
4. Pigmented skin will revert on its own.
