Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes A Disoriented Feeling After Discontinuing Ketorolac?
I have a deteriated disk with a vertebrae L5 that has slipped forward. I have been taking ketorolac 10mg for a little over a year. I tried to stop taking it but that lasted only 1 week. I have a hard time being mobile when not taking ketorolac. Should I have been on this medication for this long and is there something else I could take? Not looking for surgery!
Ketorolac is non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs). Use of any NSAIDs for such a long duration is not advisable. So I strongly advise you not to use this medication daily. Instead you can apply hot compression. Physiotherapy in your situation can help to relieve pain, however it is not permanent solution. Decompressive surgery is the only permanent option for which you have to consult neurosurgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
